St. Anthony of old, the priceless gift of God to us.
The prince among the saints, the Abbot, the great
Remember us before our God we plead
For graces abundant and protection to surge
That we may serve with fervour and devotion to him
We in freedom and holiness His glory seek.
In your victory over evil, we seek our victory.
In God’s glorious name, with Jesus our Lord
Raise thy gaze of power and the devil will flee.
Touch our hearts today and God’s peace will flow
Proclaim thy healing power and we will be whole.
We in freedom and holiness His glory seek.
Faithful in God’s household would the heretics endure
Fasting and penance the evil one did flee
In His presence you taught us to pray unceasingly
Walked the desert on foot, an exemplar in sacrifice
The evil so vicious yet who would dare?
We in freedom and holiness His glory seek.
We rejoice in your victory for God’s power you bare
Sound the trumpet of war
Raise the battle cry
We march as one army in battle attire
United in Christ, we stand for the Lord
Till death unites us all in heaven above
We in freedom and holiness His glory seek (3)
